Richardson. The Bon Portage Lighthouse\u00c2\u00a0is one of the many scenic lighthouses that can be enjoyed as you paddle by the island.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bon Portage or Outer Island is now owned by Acadia University and is used from spring until fall by Acadia University biology students. It is here that the migratory bird count is done\u00c2\u00a0regularly and banding of migrant birds.
